MacOS 10.13.4 with McAfee Agent 5.5.0.447 communication error

Hi all,

As said, using MacOS 10.13.4 there is an error in the communication part to the ePo.

I got the error: Agent failed to communicate with ePo Server.

Could you give me a hand?

Hi Jose,

As a fellow end-user, when I received this error it was due to the Mac's Shared Hostname value not matching what we had in Active Directory.

This value is not set when domain joining a Mac and causes ePO to be unable to communicate with the device:

System Preferences > Sharing > Computer Name
