I wan't to install EndpointSecurity Thread Prevention 10.5.2-1612 on a new Ubuntu Machine.
Through ePO client task i get a successfull message but it isn#t installed anyway...
If i try to install it with the standalone package i get following output:

according to the installation output:
MFEcma(x86_64) 5.5.1.342 is installed.
MFEcma(x86_64) 5.5.1.362 or above is required for installation to continue.
So you need MA 5.5.1 Hotfix 1247910 for Linux installed.

@ariess I can concur with @frank_enser in their assessment. You will need to first upgrade the installed MA to 5.5.1.362 or later to proceed with your ENS installation.
I wanted to provide some clarification on why your task would have shown as successful despite the installation failing---this is because the task successfully ran and determined the installation was not compatible with the current state of the system. There was not an error, and in this scenario the installer logic views it as a success because it's successfully telling you that the update doesn't apply to this system in its current state. Hope that helps a bit with lingering concern regarding the messaging on the ePO side.

My Softwware Manager inside ePO dowsn't show me any updates. Had to download from McAfee Download page and Grant Number
