Endpoint Security for Linux Threat Prevention - Access Protection not enabled

Jump to solution

We are installing ENSL 10.6.5 on Linux machines with Ubuntu 18.04.3, fully patched, and the kernel reports itself as 5.0.0-29-generic.

We are not able to switch on Access Protection with this kernel version.

Are we missing something here, or is the kernel simply too new?

Thank you
Elke

Hi Ezim,

The ENSL 10.6.5 is tested with the below kernel versions of the OS and is only compatible with them.

This release supports these additional Ubuntu kernels:
• 4.4.0-159-generic (Ubuntu 16.04)
• 4.15.0-58-generic (Ubuntu 18.04)
• 5.0.0-25-generic (Ubuntu 19.04)

This information is available on the products release notes.

We have the ENSL 10.6.6 released today and the version of kernel on the Ubuntu 1804 is not yet tested.

Release notes:

I hope this helps.
