Default Exclusions for RHEL Servers

Good morning,

Is there a list of "default" exclusions that should be applied to RHEL servers (e.g. /var/log*) running ENS?  I'm finding various articles but can't seem to find anything from RHEL or McAfee on this topic.

Thanks very much.

Re: Default Exclusions for RHEL Servers

Hi @GregBS

By default there are various items already excluded in ENSLTP. Look at https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB88569&locale=en_US

There is no specific article we have for OS based. It will depend which application running on the machine and if there is need to exclude that application from scanning. If you have any problem where ENSLTP causing performance issue because of which you are looking for exclusions do let us know. If this is just a general question then there is no article as such. Based on the application installed on the machine we have to configure the best practice. Nothing from OS side needs exclusions as such.

Re: Default Exclusions for RHEL Servers

Is there no guidance on default system binaries that should be excluded (e.g. files within the /sbin directory)?
