I purchased All Access - Internet Security over a month ago and have been unable to install it. I have downloaded the installer for Mac 3.3, but when I enter the serial number (cut and paste from the download page) I get an error saying the serial number is already in use. I have tried this 6 times now. I have contacted McAfee support 3 times and each time they say that they have a known issue with installing on OS X Yosemite, but it will be fixed in a couple of days, so I need to try again in 48 hours. I now see that McAfee support has been down this weekend. Has anyone else come across this issue, or could they offer some advice please? From looking on the forums, I see lots of problems with mac installs, but not this specific one.
McAfee All Access - Internet Security 3.3 on Mac Os X Yosemite (10.10.1), using Chrome (39.0.2171.95) and Safari (8.0.2).
I am told that Internet Security for Mac 3.3 fully supports Yosemite but as you've noted, the Consumer Support website is down. I'll ping one of our resident techs to see if he knows anything.
Please try the below steps and see if that helps
Thank you for your response. I have just tried this and still receive the same error.
Please help me with the below mentioned log files to proceed further. You can attach them in your next reply.
Click Go at the top and select Goto Folder
Type /var/log/ and Click Go
Search for files with the name "Download Manager.log" and "Master Installer.log"
Attach them in your next reply using Advanced Editor option.
Thank you for your response, but the private message has come through from a 'no-reply' email address. How do I respond please?
Thanks for the response. I'm aware how to reply to messages on the community, but as you will see from Selvan above he has sent me a private message requesting some my account details in order to resolve the issue. I have received the private message as an email from a no-reply address. How do i reply to that?
The message is...
I checked the logs that you posted and found that Activation of product fails constantly. This is Obviously due to presence of Expired Subscription in your account. As I suspected there was an expired subscription for McAfee Internet Security. This needs to be moved to a separate Email account other than "mark.phillips@xxxxxx" Please help me with an alternate Email so that I can move the expired subscription. After doing this we can try the Installation.
