Ongoing problem. Installer Not updated error

On my MacBook Air fully updated the installer threw an error that the installer is not up to date.  Then kept throwing errors that it cant start the antivirus and firewall services after install.  I had previously had contacted support about McAfee a year ago about their antivirus and firewall not activating.  I am having the same problem with there new software after letting my subscription lapse a year ago.  They have not fixed the problem in over a year.  I have many computers and it is working on my Windows machines so I will continue to use McAfee on them but using it on my MacBook Air is a bust due to it being not updated.

Hi @richard378

McAfee has released new version[4.5] for mac computers. please try to update McAfee and check whether AV and Firewall services are working. If issue persist please uninstall and reinstall McAfee.
