I just downloaded McAfee Internet Security for Mac and I have two Honeywell WiFi thermostats that are now losing WiFi capability.
The Honeywell FAQ site states this:
Do Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostats meet security compatibility?
As Wi-Fi technology changes, so do the security standards to protect Wi-Fi networks. The thermostats are compatible with the following security standards.
I've also noticed that my iPad loses connectivity also.
Comcast/ Xfinity is my internet provider and I use Apple's Time Capsule as my router.
What can I do to fix this issue? I'm guessing it has something to do with the firewall settings?
Thanks in advance!
I'm sorry that nobody answered you and we Moderators don't have MAC's so are hopeless with that side of things. I hope you found Technical Support. If not the link is below.

That is very strange. The stuff on your mac should not interfere with the Airport in the time capsule routing other stuff. However you may find the following help you get to the time capsule from a McAfee-infected mac...
The TimeMachine backups need Bonjour to find the disk (the TimeCapsule or whatever your destination is). You need 1900/UDP enabled for the thing to find the backup disk. Also enabling 5353/UDP makes the Airport Utility discovery stuff work. The file transfer is on 548/TCP (Apple Filing Service). This is outbound only from your client so you shouldn't need a rule for that.
There's definitely some bugs in the "Manage Rules" system on LiveSafe. Periodically pressing SAVE causes it to put in different ranges than what was typed (sometimes just reverting to some old version). Further Save and even sometimes closing the windows doesn't cause the rules to be applied. I found that sometimes I need to twiddle from Public to Home/Work and back again to get the rules to switch.
If I may ask, does selecting Home/Work with-in your Firewall Internet Connections help to resolve your issues?
