I'm not that technically literate and really don't understand how computers work but what I can confirm is that my system has Mac OSX El Capitan version 10.11.5 with McAfee All Access version 188.8.131.52.
All Access tells me that I am fully covered but when I try to do a full or custom scan, it doesn't work and I get a message which says 'unknown error received from scanners'.
I have de-installed and subsequently re-installed 3 times but the problem still persists. Any ideas why and how I can sort this issue out?
You've posted this in a very specific section for Enterprise products. Can you confirm whether this relates to your own Mac, or is this at your place of work? I think the question may have to be moved somewhere else for you to get an answer.
No, this is a straightforward domestic application. Don't know anything about Enterprise. As far as I am aware, the issue is simply that McAfee All Access isn't working as it should (and did).
Moved to Consumer > Mac Products.
I would open a case with Technical Support as we Moderators don't know much about Macs.
It's free and if at first they can't solve the problem, you can ask for escalation to a higher level.
