VSE 8.8 setting different to ePO 4.6.8 setting

Hi All

have an older 2008 system.  on it there are ePO 4.6.8 which seems to manage virusscan 8.8 in its policy catalog.  There is also the virusscan console from which I can access On-Access scanner properties.

Form EPO 4.6.8 I can go to policy catalog->product->virusscan enterprise 8.8 then select "On-Access general policies"  In there if I select the scriptScan tab  "Enable Scanning of scripts" is enabled.

If I run up Virusscan console from the start menu and access On-Access scanner properties from there , select general settings, then select Scriptscan, Enable scanning of scripts is not enabled.

Anyone know why they would be different?  Shouldnt they reflect each other?

Thanks

Re: VSE 8.8 setting different to ePO 4.6.8 setting

Those versions are really old, do you have any plans to update them?

they indeed should match what you have on the ePO server, please make sure that the policies are enforced as described on this article:

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB86634

if they are, do you see any errors enforcing policies on the agent log? (Agent_computername.log)
