Kindly capture the ProcMon , WPR & MER from the impacted system and reach out to McAfee Technical Support as we need might have to identify what is causing the issue.
You were correct to begin with. I went back to look at the version again this morning and didn't note the change from 3.0 to 3.1 since then. My apologies. I caught up with a colleague who fixed the issue as indeed you indicated, a known issue fixed by the upgrade.
