what is the mechanism to manage

Within the organization there is Mvision and I have servers that have no access to the internet, what is the mechanism to manage these computers, to be able to see them in the console and apply policies?

Re: what is the mechanism to manage

Hello @xsalcedo

Create a McAfee Agent Smart Installer package and install the McAfee Agent to the machine.

Once the Agent will get installed you will be able to see the machine in your Mvision-ePO.

Mvision is managed by McAfee and everything has been placed either AH or DXL .

You just need to install the McAfee agent and then use the Product Deployment Tab>Advance Options and then send the product with the help of deployment.

Once the deployment will done, you will be able to manage the product and apply the policies.

Hope this will help you 🙂

Thanks,

But if the server does not have an exit to the internet, how does it communicate with Mvision?

Re: what is the mechanism to manage

Could you tell me if you handle the IP range to which the Mvision equipment connects; to just disturb that connection on the server.

Re: what is the mechanism to manage

But how do I do if I have a server that does not have internet access and the Firewall I have only allows IP, not DNS? I need you to contact MVision.

Re: what is the mechanism to manage

afaik, Only that KB is available from the McAfee as they are hosted on AWS and the IP keeps changing.

If no luck, You can open a Service Request with Support and also try to submit the PER/Product idea KB60021
