Dears,
I am working on a project for implementing McAfee ePO in a company and they also want to implement MOVE product for their virtual Machines, including Servers and Desktops. ePO part is finished, but when reached to the part of MOVE implementation, company is saying they dont have any more server for the project. As per McAfee, the best practice is to install ePO and OSS on different servers.
Now, the company want to install both ePO and OSS on the same server which is having good processor and 8GB of RAM. They are ready to increase the RAM up to 16GB.
Could you please let me know that, is it ok to install both on the same Server? Also if ok, what precautions have to be taken for the same.
Also the company is running virtual desktops on "NComputing" Technology. I would like to know that, MOVE can support "NComputing"?
Many thanks in advance,
Abdul Majeed.
Moved from Consumer to Business > ePO, hopefully for a quicker response.

Actually there is a section for MOVE Antivirus, would you prefer I move it there?
Sure, you can...
Done. Good luck 😉
Hi
Are you running SQL and the ePO application server on the same Server?
You 'could' run the OSS on the same server as ePO although I have not tested this.
If you use Multiplatform (Agentless) this should work on NComputing.
Are you planning on deploying the Move SVA or manually configuring the VMs to use the OSS?

Thank you Mr. Richard for your reply.
I have separate SQL Server.
I installed OSS on the ePO server itself. so far no issues found.
I have only one OSS, so I am using a policy to specify the OSS Server.
Regarding NComputing, you mean Multiplatform configuration of MOVE will work?
once again many thanks for your time.

This can be achieved but better performance and result it is always good to have OSS on a different server.
Hello everybody, I two questions.
1. In the MOVE components I can leave out to MOVE SVA? I can manually define the OSS with policy and only install OSS server and deploy the move clients? I have only a move OSS server and few move clients (20).
2. Move OSS must be a virtual machine or any server, according to requirements, can be a OSS server?
I hope your answers, thanks
Vanessa
1. Yes you can leave out the MOVE SVA and set the OSS using Client Policies. The SVA was designed to manage OSS assignment but you can manually assign these.
2. Any Windows server with VSE installed, it can be Virtual or Physical, but ideally dedicated to MOVE OSS.
Kindest Regards
