Disable MOVE AV Agentless on VM

Jump to solution

Is there a way to temporarily disable MOVE AV Agentless on a VM?  I have a suspicion that MOVE AV is causing my Windows Updates to run very slowly.  I'd like to be able to disable MOVE AV prior to running the updates on a server.

You can stop MOVE Agentless AV protection by unloading the VMware VMCI driver on the guest system.

1.       Stop the VMCI driver by running: fltmc unload vsepflt

2.       Re-Start the driver by running: fltmc load vsepflt

Can you vMotion the guest to a non protected hyper visor?

Or uninstall the Required VM tools from that guest that allows communications to vShield?

vShield does the transport, the SVA does the scans..

@ffigueroa

As you are manipulating (with above referneced commands) VMWare components that belong to your VmWare tools installation, I woud suggest that you engage VmWare Support for further guidance. Tjhey'll be able to pinpoint  why VMs crash/not crash when these components are enabled/disabled.
