why does a complete scan takes sooo long ( more a 8 hours??) Using game laptop MSI GE70?and windows 10

A Quick scan is not giving this  problems? But  doing a complete more as 8 hours  to run a complete scan is strange? How can I solve or change something so ot would not take this time? If I stop the session it starts again - not resuming  and starting all over again

Ok usually a first scan takes a while but the next time it is faster as McAfee remembers the file properties and skips scanning some files that are not changed..That said 8hrs is a bit long . Is that laptop 5 years old and how many Gbs of files are installed.

Maybe clean out temporary files etc and retry see if second scan same. Does a scheduled scan take the same time?
