Scan a Mapped Drive using Livesafe

I have 2 external drives connected to my Windows 10 PC. They are Network Attached Storage drives which are mapped as 2 drives on the PC.

Livesafe  v16 does not appear to scan them. When I right click to scan, Livesafe just starts doing a quick scan of my c drive.

Is there a setting in LIvesafe that will allow it to scan these drives, or should I look at different ant-virus product?

Re: Scan a Mapped Drive using Livesafe

Hello @artisann

McAfee security products have moved to "Next Generation" Lightweight Anti-Malwarearchitecture (LAM) technology. Right now, whenever an external drive is attached, it is not scanned automatically. It is only scanned only when the files in the external drives are accessed, which is termed as On-Access Scan.

You can read more about the new LAM engine in the article
