Please provide prove that the issue is resolved.
Too many people are dealing with this.
Be honest. End 2017 the whole issue started and you never been serious about resolving it.
Seems to me McAfee wants our money, not our safety.
visje - try this - worked for me. if it doesnt work
just repeat the steps backwards.
GO INTO SAFE MODE AND TRY THE FOLLOWING.
i deleted . MODULECORE.EXE. in safe mode but left file in a folder on desktop
i deleted core folder from pef folder but left in a folder on desktop
i deleted mqs and vul folders but left in a folder on desktop
doing step 3 disabled quick clean / vulnerability scanner / shredder / fine with me never used it.
firewall and antivirus scanner still work fine for me, all i need
McAfee Management Service host useage fell dramatically . for me.
but remember doing an update will put those files back.
I got this problem stopped using the subDBFix.exe a month or so ago, got this new update from you and now it's started AGAIN! STOP ALREADY! FIX IT OR STOP SCREWING IT UP! enough already.

I'm not renewing my subscribtion. I have reported this issue november last year and still they haven't fixed it. Some lame techie wanted acces to my computer and when I refused I never heard from him again. That's the way McAfee is treating their customers.
NO McAfee for me.
Hi All
The problem was solved in McAfee Version 16.0 R12 (Security Center version 17.2.124). If the problem persist then we might see a variant of this issue that needs investigation. Please help me with the below details
1. Frequency of the issue - No. of times in a day the issue occurs
2. Applications that are open when the issue occurs
3. Actions that trigger the high CPU usage - Eg. Watching videos on a Browser
I am running McAfee, and usually Outlook 2016, IE 11.112 streaming video from a camera, and a music app though the workload seems to have no impact on the symptoms. The CPU builds up specifically if the machine is not being used at the UI. For example playing music (via web, iTunes or Spotify) , and the CPU load is sufficient to distort the sound. Moving the mouse temporarily reduces McAfee Management Service Host to below 10% for 30 seconds. Selecting the McAfee Management Service Host task inTask Manager always reduces its CPU temporarily, rather like a stealth CPU user.
It often goes away temproarily if McAfee updates are checked (regardless of whether any are installed) say for 10 minutes or if the system is restarted. On the last occurance checking McAfee updates did not cure it. I restarted the Windows machine 5.5 hours ago and McAfee Management Service Host is currently fine at under 0.1% CPU, but if past experiecne is a guide, it will start again iwithin 24 hours.
I had given that information ages ago. What have you been doing in the last couple months?
