Much as I would love to help, I uninstalled McAfee a couple of days ago and now the install process keeps failing so I can't put it back on.
I've tried using the McAfee Virtual Technician but it doesn't find a problem, so I'm a bit stuck.
on the positive side (for me) my PC is performing beautifully now!
Uninstall via windows Programs and features then run MCPR
Download the MCPR tool.
Reboot and follow the preparation steps for an install.

What uninstall reinstall helped it does not usually though you will get 16.0.R6 version that does not have a fix for this issue.

Seriously I am surprised as I thought this was more a clash not a corrupted install. I thought others reinstalled before but maybe the 16.0.R6 new install has something in it that helps.
Will look further.
So maybe someone else can try the uninstall reinstall path cleaning the disk as mentioned there as well and see if that helps?

Interesting you mention corrupted install. When I first uninstalled and tried to reinstall I couldn't do it because the reinstall kept failing. It needed the MCPR wipe to fix it. A sign my install was corrupted maybe?
That Is possible could explain but 30+ getting the same corruption causing same issues is strange. Will see if reinstalling helps others. Sounds like it has been ok for a few days.
