McAfee LiveSafe

When I opened My LiveSafe I found the following message:

" We're Fixing Real-time Scanning" We're sorry but Real-Time scanning isn't working properly. We're fixing it as fast as we can. Real-Time scanning instantly checks files anytime you or your PC uses them to protect your PC from viruses and or other threats.

However when I navigated to the area where the Real-Time is located the light was green. Is this issue serious if so How can it be fixed.

Hello @halton 

McAfee is aware of this issue and a fix for this will be rolled out in the future update. We will update this thread once we have the update for the fix gets rolled out.

If your McAfee software detects a problem with Real-Time Scanning, follow the below steps and check the status.

  • Right-click on the M-shield icon next to the clock.
  • Click Check for updates
  • Wait for the update to complete.
  • check to see if Real-Time Scanning is now enabled
  • Reboot the machine and check if real time scanning is enabled 

NOTE: McAfee also recommends that you keep Windows up to date.

I have followed the instructions in your response and it didn't work. It still opens up with the same thing that they are trying to fix it as quick as  possible. It also asks if I've seen the message when I say I got it. I  navigate to where the Real-Time is located and it still operates as normal.
