There is no need to use CCleaner, it is just another registry cleaner & you run the risk of erasing other vital registry keys when you use it.
That could indeed be the reason why this is not being successful.
You are going to have to take a day off work and use the phone support.
Its recommended to reinstall McAfee as advised by @Ex_Brit in post#8 while switching suites. Its best you contact technical support to resolve the issue, because you have already attempted to uninstall Total Protection and install Livesafe as suggested by @catdaddy.
PS. Please follow me if you are still having trouble contacting support so that I may DM you.

sanjay,
As I wrote above I have done this...
On Monday I will contact with support...
Sanjay is with support. I have enabled direct messaging for you both should you choose that option.

1. I have uninstalled LS from windows 7 ultimate,
2. restart
3. MCPR
4. restart
5. I have changed Opera on IE and then used installation link provided by mcafee via email, I have downloaded 1 part of TP and wrote it on disc: d
6. MCPR
7. restart
8. double click on setup.exe and wait for download. When all was downloaded I have disconnected internet connection,
9. Total protection was installed.
THX for help
PS. Now we will see if it works on 2 mobiles and HP ultrabook
Best regards
Glad you are OK now 😉
Thanks for sharing your step-by-step solution to the upgrade problem!
(I did a similar post last year, see https://community.mcafee.com/t5/LiveSafe/Real-Time-Scanning-fixing/m-p/528297#M1825 )
