The latest update of McAfee LiveSafe to Version 16.0, Release Name 16.0 R29 installed something called McAfee File Lock and put a McAfee Vaults icon in This PC in File Explorer in Windows 10.
As I did not request and do not want to use McAfee File Lock can this be uninstalled without affecting McAfee LiveSafe?
A reply would be appreciated.
Hello @pingujohn
We are sorry for the inconvenience. File lock (McAfee Vault ) is a feature which will be auto install upon first update to make the user to access the feature with ease. As per the latest update version in McAfee vault cant be removed separately as of now.
Thanks,
Hi Magesh.
Thanks for your reply.
I have just noticed that there is an entry for McAfee File Lock in the Windows 10 Start Menu. If I right click on this there is an uninstall option. Is it save to use this option or will this adversely affect McAfee LiveSafe?
