I recently bought a laptop with LiveSafe installed on it. I am desperately attempting to remove it from the system.
I have Uninstalled it through the Control Panel and even cleaned the registry, deleting all instances of it and yet it keeps installing itself back on my system. I do not want this on my system.
Yes I have another antivirus/antispyware program installed but your software is preventing it from working properly.

I used the removal tool as instructed and it is still on my system. I have posted a screen shot of all the entries found in the registry that have been deleted many times. It is also still showing up in the task bar.
If you have removed it first from your 'Programs/Features/Restart. Then follow up with the MCPR Tool/Restart. It should have sufficed. After running the MCPR Tool, did it state that 'Clean-up' was Successful?
Also Deactivating the Software should help as well.
Other than that, it may be best to contact Technical Support for additional Assistance.
Did you have other McAfee software installed ever before? I ask because some of those keys look to me like Enterprise product keys and there is no removal tool for those or they could be exclusive to an HP-provided product. There is a registry clean way of getting rid of every last vestige but it takes a very long time to complete. I will post it if needed.
BTW Regseeker is a registry cleaner, do NOT under any circumstances use registry cleaners, they always, without fail, remove more than they say they are going to remove and you will end up with an unstable system. Always uninstall programmes using their own uninstallers via Control Panel, and then use their own removal tools, if there are any. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.
I have been using registry cleaners for many years now and have never had a problem with them. The key is backing up what you delete before deleting the entries.
Maybe but one day they'll get you, believe me. That's why a quality software always comes with it's own uninstaller and/or a removal tool.
I do hope that you try those methods first before resorting to the reg cleaner's brute force method.
I did Uninstall the program through Add/Remove programs. I did run the removal tool. Obviously that did not work. If they had I wouldn't be here trying to find out how to get it off my system.
I didn't come here for a discussion on registry cleaners I came here for an answer to my problem. I want LiveSafe off my system so I can use an antivirus / antispyware program of my choosing and not what was provided with the machine.
