showevents command not available in 6.7.2 Hotfix 6

Jump to solution

I am trying to use the "showevents" command on an Ironmail that has HF6 installed.

[McAfee]: showevents

Illegal Command: showevents.  Ignoring.

Is this a broken feature in HF6 ?

On an appliance running HF5 the response comes back like this:

Usage: <showevents> [-s name=value] [-g name=value] -d operation

Detailed help : <showevents> -?

Unfortunately it does not function in HF6. However support can tweak it from the backend to enable it.

Thanks.   I did call support and spoke to someone who said it was not available in HF6.

The representative stumbled around for 20 minutes and I disconnected the call.

Maybe I will call back in tomorrow.
