We have had a Content Analysis rule in place on Ironmail for the last 18 months where if certain data is found (by a regular expression) in an attachment/message body of an outbound email then files are quarantined.
This worked in all the regular formats such as XLS, XLSX, DOC, DOCX, PDF etc. However in the last few days if the data is found in a hidden column within an Excel XLS document then the rule is not triggered. Interestingly the rule still works with XLSX files (which use the newer file format). Has anyone seen this happen before or could point me in the right direction for a fix.
We haven't made an change to the rules that anyone knows about.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am also encountering this issue with the older XLS (Excel 97-2003) format spreadsheets and hidden columns. I have opened a case with support and will let you know when I receive a response.
