Re: Email dropped while sending to Yahoo email ID

It looks like you have an SMTP code 554, indicating that the transaction failed.  Does the DSN provide any additional clues?  Can you try sending a test email to the Yahoo recipient using a third-party mail service (like Gmail) and, if so, is it delivered?  Since IronMail created a new message (probably the DSN), you may want to also do a trace on message number 11063496 to see if it yields any additional clues.

Re: Email dropped while sending to Yahoo email ID

'ct_smtplib.SMTPDataError'Smiley Mad554, '')

Normally there would be more information after the somewhat generic 554 error returned here.

Without it, you might try doing a manual SMTP session to Yahoo from one of your perimeter machines and see what response you get when performing each step of the send.   Possibly something enlightening will show up that you don't see in that log entry.

<vendor hint> On a related note, the ability to perform a manual telnet-style SMTP session directly from an ironmail appliance would be invaluable in troubleshooting sometimes... </vendor hint>

Hear, hear!

Re: Email dropped while sending to Yahoo email ID

Yes, the ability to perform a manual telnet SMTP session from ironmail appliance is sometimes needed to see the full answer of the foreign mail server...but unfortunately this function is missing! Maybe this can be fixed in next update hotfix.
