PDA's

Anyone else had problems with USB connected PDA's? I believe that they actual need a network connection and use an ip of 169.254.2.0/255.255.255.0. Anyone else come across this, if so how did you get around it?

RE: PDA's

What product are you using?

Windoesw mobile devices create a network conection when connected all right, what are you having a problem doing when connected? syncing? browsing the device's folder structure?

We run HIPS and several of our users use WM devices but have no trouble doing the above. Whats showing up in you're firewall logs?

RE: PDA's

KB 4276885 This is only a problem with Windows 2000. Win XP correctly sees the pda nic driver that ActiveSync installs.
