On our systems, CD/DVD burning is impossible without disabling McAfee Hips (Host Intrusion Prevention). When attempting the burn process, HIPS rule >Prevent common programs from running in Temp< is invoked, and the process fails.
The specific file path that is being blocked C:\Users\<user>\appdata\Local\Temp\datxxxxxx.tmp is not known to be a part of the burn process. I cannot find any information anywhere on why this behavior is occurring, or why this .tmp file is being involved.
Does anyone have any experience with this, or does anyone have any insight as to why this file is being included as part of the burn process?
