Location for HIPS Policy files

Jump to solution

I am trying to install McAfee Agent, DLP, VSE and HIPS on a stand alone and then copy the policies over to it, all without connecting to the ePO.  Not sure if this is a possible work around for stand alones but i wanted to try. Does anyone know where the ePO stores for example HIPS policies on a client? Can these policies be copied over to a different workstation, enforced, without having to communicate with ePO?

This is not possible for the Host IPS product.  The HIPS configuration must be gathered and enforced by the McAfee Agent from the ePO server.

maybe you could have it check in every once in awhile. it will get policies initially, and retain those until next check in.
