Juniper and Mcafee HIPS 7.0.0

Hi,

We are using Juniper and Mcafee Host Intrusion Prevention and when log on to Juniper we receive Failed to start the downloaded the application.

In the firewall policy the juniper site is added. There are no programs blocked in the application policy. When we uninstall HIPS everything works fine.

Can anybody help me please ...

Have you put in an exception for Juniper Host Checking? There is probably a double extension file that is being blocked by HIPs.

It is the double file extention signature in IPS.
You have compression setup on the Juniper and the Hostchecker and/or Network Connect applications are downloaded from Juniper as NSNetwConnect.exe.zip (sp) and that is where the IPS stops it.
