Host IPS causes bluescreens on Dell M90

Hi

When I enable HOST IPS it generates bluescreens on all our
DELL Precision M90 laptops (only on this type)
It has to do with "hidsys.exe"

The only way we can avoid the bluescreens is start in save mode
rename/delete "hidsys.sys" (under C:\Program files\Mcafee\Host Intrusion Prevention\)
I noticed that there is also an exact copy of this file under <system32>\drivers.


Any Ideas how to fix this

Our Clients are using
HIPS 6.0.1 (Patch2)
VSE8.5i (Patch1)
Agent 3.6.0.453

When do the laptops bluescreen?

Docked/undocked?

LAN/wireless?

Do they bluescreen when sing a VPN client?

Have you tried HIPS 6.1?

Is this happening on one computer or many?

Is this happening on boot up or when you launch another application?

What other network facing applications are installed on the M90? ie, VPN, etc.

Do you have full memory dump enabled? Have you opened a service request with support and submitted the dump?

Did all the client is using Windows XP SP2? did all PC using other brand of anti-virus before?

as i know there may have a bug in windows XP sp2, if there are more then three security filter, it will occurs the windows bluescreen.
