HIPS blocking pc activity.

What we have been doing is the following:

Open McAfe Agent Monitor and selecting

Collet and Send Props

Send Events

Check New Policies

Enforce Policies

Before doing the prevous we were not able to ping the pc. After clicking the four buttons the we are able to ping the pc and end workstation is not blocked.

Your policies were not being applied for HIPS, once the device grabebd the policies from ePo they started applying. Any blocking showed in ePO for that device ?

Just a hunch, but it might be an issue with McAfee agent 4.5.... Consider upgrading to 4.6 or 4.8
