HIPS Client UI Password

Jump to solution

Greetings, I have a question.  Is the HIPS Client UI Password different for every Client UI policy on a given EPO?  Or, is the password same for all if set for one?  Lastly, if you create a new policy based off an existing one will that policy inherit the password fo the original policy?

Thanks, Ken

The HIPS Admin password is set within a policy.  It could be the same or different in multiple policies, depending on what you set it to.  If you are unsure what the password is set to in the policy, just retype in the password (which may change it from what it is already set to).  There is no way to display what the password is currently set to, in order to compare the passwords.

Lastly, if you create a new policy based off an existing one will that policy inherit the password fo the original policy?

Yes.
