Re: HIP and VSE in one McAfee Tray icon

Make sure you are running HIPS 8.0 and McAfee Agent 4.5 or higher.

Re: HIP and VSE in one McAfee Tray icon

Hi Kary,

I have HIP in version:  7.0.0.1159

VSE in version: 8.7i (8.7.0.570)

VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyware Enterprise

McAfee Agent in version: 4.5.0.1852

What should I do to have HIP and VSE in one tray icon?

Regards

Pawel

Re: HIP and VSE in one McAfee Tray icon

Are you on a a 64-bit OS?  If so, it's not possible to combine the tray icons with HIPS 7.

KB66127 - Some ePO-managed products display both the legacy icon and the McAfee McTray icon in the system tray on 64-bit operating systems

Re: HIP and VSE in one McAfee Tray icon

Hi Kary,

I have HIPS in version 7.0 and VSE in version 8.8 (there was an upgrade) and Windows 7 64bit.

And my computer is a company computer managed by EOP Server.

It's a pity that I need two icons instead of one - but I have laredy used to it :-)

Regards

Pawel

Re: HIP and VSE in one McAfee Tray icon

What the hell are some ePO-Administrators are doing here??

how can some-one deploy VSE8.7 to Windows-Systems in 2013?

I would really recommend VSE8.8 - Patch-2 running fine on Windows 7 64bit or Windows XP

Also recommended is to Upgrade HIPS to 8.0.0.2588

For Older Versions it's difficult to get support...
