Does Uninstalling HiPS through ePO prompt the machine to reboot

I can't seem to find anything online or in the forums about this. But does uninstalling any version of HiPS through ePO (it was installed through ePO originally) prompt the machine to reboot?

Re: Does Uninstalling HiPS through ePO prompt the machine to reboot

Hi @leezard,

Thank yo for your post. HIPS is a product that "requires" a reboot post installation or removal. However, when the tasks are run via ePO, this "Reboot Prompt" action is not carried out by HIPS.

McAfee Agent will be the one performing this prompt for you and this is done via a setting called "Prompt user when a reboot is required" under McAfee Agent Policy --> General policy --> General Tab.

I sincerely hope this explains your query.
