Can user create "Trusted Application" or "Firewall Rules" by their own for HIPs?

Jump to solution

Hi all,

If users install an application on its PC, can they set this application as "Trusted Application" and also create a new

"Firewall Rule" for this application by their own just like windows firewall? (Not calling ePO admins, not using ePO console)

I mean, if there is no such function for users, ePO admins will have to do this configuration everytime when users install an application,

it's kind of a heavy work loading for ePO admins.....

HIPS is designed so that rules and policies are managed by the ePO server only.  Local rules can be created and used, but for troubleshooting purposes only.  Local rules that are added need to be put in the ePO policies and then deleted locally.
