Access protection policy prevents Mcafee HIPS HcApi.dll

we have ePo 4.6 we block most of the policies int the  Access protection policy for vse 8.8,  we have the policy Anti-virus Maximum Protection:Prevent svchost executing non-Windows executables. I enabled this policy, but the problem this policy prevented the dll that belongs to Mcafee HIPS: C:\Program Files\McAfee\Host Intrusion Prevention\HcApi.dll. I understand that there is no way to do exception for that dll. Now the question does this affect the function of the McAfee HIPS?

Question: Can't you just add hcapi.dll to the "processes to exclude" list?
