When using user initials and pwd, and even a servername it fails to logon. It is the same on Iphones as with Androids.
Besides port 443, does any more ports need to be opened, just to actually connect to the EMM server?
Is EMM installed on a singel server or in the enhanced security module?
Port 443 between EMM Proxy and mobile device.
Port 389 between EMM Hub and authentification server.
Port 1433 between EMM Hub and SQL Server
Port 2195 from EMM Hub to Internet, Apple Push Notification
Port 2196 from EMM Hub to Internet, Apple Feedback Service
Port 5222 from EMM Hub to Internet, Android C2DM
Verify these connections with telnet or sniff the traffic on the server with example Wireshark to verify the traffic from you mobile device.
Try to browse to the emmportal from your mobile device.
It is a single server installation. Besides the SQL server, that is.

If port 443 is opened the device should be able to connect to the EMM Server (EMM Proxy Component).
That can you verify if you sniff the traffic on the server.
You can also verify the connection between the device and EMM Server by visiting the portalwebsite on the EMM Server through a browser. (iPhone can be provisioned by the EMM Portal)
