I have been experiencing this issue for quite some time and I can't pin point what the problem may be.
1. I Install the EMM App and enter the proper credentials and all works great.
2. Email provisions and all policies apply.
But when I connect to an external wifi connection, I could still manage the iPad but the email doesn't sync. It only syncs when I am connected to our internal wifi connection. I have talked to technical support and they mentioned we needed port 5223 opened. We just opened up the port, but still have the same issue. Can anyone assist? Or has someone experienced the same issue?

Solved! Go to Solution.
I just need a bit more information. Are you looking into modifying the Activesync address in the web.config files? Were you able to obtain the ActiveSync address?
How to change the configured ActiveSync server address on the proxy server after installation

I have EMM running on a dual server enviroment, so if you are using ActiveSync then try using the ActiveSync External DNS name or IP.
ActiveSync External DNS
– External DNS or IP address of the server that NAT’s or routes to the McAfee EMM server hosting the proxy services.
