I am new in administrating McAfee EMM and we are using version 10.1 (update to 10.2 is planned)
We want to set up an EMM environment where every european subsidiary mobile users are added to. All subsidiaries are in the same AD-Domain and hosted by the headquarters in Germany and are using the same Exchange-Servers. We have one local IT administrator in every subsidiary.
Now my question:
is it possible to set up an administrator role for every subsidiary, so they can only see/edit their subsidiary user. Every subsidiary have their unique AD-Group to identify.
For example the administrator "france-admin" can only see/edit users with the group membership "france".
Thanks in advance for your efforts!
No, EMM is not set up for multi-tenancy. What you are describing is not possible in the on-premis version.
My company on the other hand is involved with a cloud based version of McAfee EMM which does allow for multi-tenancy. It would require a shift away from your current on premis solution and onto our solution managed in the cloud. Let me know if you want more details.
we will not use a cloud base solution. Our company wants to have the full control in house.
But thank you for your offer anyway.
