We're gravitating toward using the Touchdown mail client with EMM mainly for the ability to setup mailbox rules. Does anyone know how to avoid 2 seperate PIN prompts when using Touchdown Client and EMM?
I have not heard of anyway to prevent it. But I do beleive that it only effects certain device models so you can try to plan to purchase models that are uneffected unfortunately I'm not sure which devices those are but maybe support could help point you in the direction. Please post any findings. I'm interested.
Hmm, that seems to be tough one because it was a corporate decision to standardize on the Droid Razr device platform. I'll see if I can get a demo from my rep.
According to the developer of Touchdown they won't support EMM.
I've read on their forums that there are no plans for them for supporting EMM.
McAfee EMM can use a "Secure Container" starting with version 10.1, which will be released soon.
This container will contain all PEM information and will replace the local client like touchdown.
I have tested touchdown with our EMM server and it seemed to work. I only get a separate pin prompt during initial setup.
Maybe you have configured an ACtive Sync policy in Exchange?
