Who's running 8.5 on XP 64?

Curious as to how many folks are running 8.5i on Windows XP 64. I am on one of my machines and noted in a previous post:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7022
Date: 6/18/2008
Time: 6:32:49 PM
User: N/A
Computer: BETSY64
Description:
The McAfee Framework Service service hung on starting.

a little patience and the OS eventually finishes booting.

However (a lil late I know) I just discovered that the Memory Scan on 8.5 patch 5 does not appear to 'engage' 'function' like it did in In the patch 1-4.

RE: Who's running 8.5 on XP 64?

exactly the same problem on my XP - 64 machine .

I was looking for a fix , or a new patch but can't seem to find it .

It is really annoying because the logging in takes a long time , and often even my taskbar is minimized so i have to drag it up again . I think it might be due to the mcafee interfering here .

RE: Who's running 8.5 on XP 64?

What version of CMA are you running?
This is resolved in CMA 3.6.0 patch2
:
Document ID: 612354

Framework service fails to start on 64-bit platforms with an Event ID: 7022 error

Environment

McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5i
McAfee Common Management Agent 3.6.0.453

Problem

Framework service fails to start on any 64-bit platforms running Windows

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

System Event logs record the following error:
Event ID: 7022
Description: The McAfee Framework Service service hung on starting.

Solution
This issue is resolved in Common Management Agent 3.6.0 Patch 2.

This patch is available on the McAfee ServicePortal. See KB40531 for downloading McAfee Patches from the ServicePortal website.

See 613646 for the McAfee Common Management Agent 3.6.0 Patch 2 Release Notes.

This is documented in the CMA 3.6.0 Patch 2 README.TXT under RESOLVED ISSUES for Item 2.

2. ISSUE:

When installed in 64-bit environments, 7022 events were being recorded in the system event
log and the Common Management Agent was slow to start.

RESOLUTION:

The Common Management Agent was modified to remove the delay in startup, which keeps the
7022 events from being recorded in the system event log.

RE: Who's running 8.5 on XP 64?

You are running CMA (agent) 3.6.0 with no patch. (see here for version numbers: http://community.mcafee.com/showthread.php?t=148636)

The fix is included in patch 2 for CMA, and also patch 3 (cumulative)

Best best is to install 3.6.0 patch 3- download from the support portal.

Memory Scan?

Interesting solution to the first part. Thank you very much.

However the second part about the 'Memory Scan' not fully initializing hasn't been addressed. Apparently to me that portion of the ON Demand Scan does not work on XP64 in 8.5i (patch 5). It does work in patch 4.

Problem Appears Solved

Appears patch 6 straightened out my primary issue with Memory scan. I suppose not many folks running XP64 either.
