I have several servers running Windows 2000 with service pack 4. The servers are using McAfee AntiVirus 8.5 and I'm using ePO 4.0. It has the latest patches (4) and I'm having the same problem on only 2 servers.
Here is the error I get every now and then on each of the troublesome servers:
McScript_InUse.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application.
In the event viewer I get Event ID 26 with the description:
"Application popup: McScript_InUse.exe - Application Error : The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application."
The interesting bit is that this only happens whenever I am connected remotely to the server (whether using VNC Viewer or DameWare). If I disconnect the error goes away. I use VNC or DameWare on all the other servers with no issues and they all have the exact same policy.
Event ID 26 pops up at the exact same time as these events are logged in the McAfee Agent Activity Log:

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Ed
