Recommended Exclusions for Move-AV on VMWare?

Jump to solution

Hi All,

We've found a problem where having MOVE-AV enabled on our VMWare View environment is causing the vmtoolsd.exe to slowly increase in CPU usage until the entire system becomes unusable. Disabling MOVE-AV immediately helps this.

Just wondering if anybody knows where i could find any recommended exclusions for MOVE-AV when using on a VMWare environment? (or any other exclusion recommendations could be handy too).

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, couldn't find a board specific for MOVE-AV.

Thanks!

Unfortunately it seems this is a 'known issue' with Move-AV 1.6.

After upgrading to Move-AV 2.0 we no longer have this issue. Move-AV 2.0 also bring a much better alert system on the desktop, instead of a popup window that takes focus away it has a friendlier toast-popup style alerting system.

Cheers

I've also been experiencing this problem on MOVE 1.6.  Have you found a solution?  Does excluding the process work?  What version are you on?
