Harddisk drivers cannot be installed

Hi folks

I've tried to restore a XP PC from an Acronis Image this week but some drivers could not be loaded.

Actually it has been all driver for data storage medium that could not be installed.

The External drives could be used normal though.

In fact it looks like Windows could find the driver but the installation always fails with "access denied".

Later I found this behaviour also on other XP PC when I attach an external drive.

Windows 7 doesn't seem to be affected so far,

Once I had the suspicion McAfee was resposible I had disabled all scanning engines in the virusscan console but without any difference.

When I finally uninstalled the ePO agent and all other products the driver was installed automatically after another restart.

It is pretty annoying always to uninstall the agent before I can finalize.

So does anyone knows how to fix this?

I'm working with the "latest" versions of XP and ePO/VSE.

Other McAfee products were not installed on that PC

kind regards Chris
