Error removing Mcafee Drive encryption

We have a machine with Mcafee Drive encryption and Mcafee Drive encryption agent installed.

The encryption status is inactive, no pre-boot password. All services and startup programs disabled.

Machine was attached previously to a management server but not for some time.

We have to remove Mcafee software because it is  not compatible with Windows Feature upgrade  and the software is not used anyway.

Both programs not showing on the Programs&Features so cannot uninstall from there.

Tried removing them using the Uninstall string from the registry:

- DE agent says : McAfee Endpoint Encryption Agent is currently active. Please de-activate before uninstalling.

- DE rolls back the uninstall saying there is something wrong with the package.

How can I remove these products from the system?

I couldn't find any instructions on a manual cleanup or a cleanup tool.

Any advice would be helpful.

Thank you!
