How to submit suspicious potential Fake Alert samples

Please submit potential Fake Alert samples directly to McAfee Labs by attaching the file(s) in an email to

When submitting samples via email, you must archive them in a password-protected Zip file with the password “infected” (all lowercase).

Once you have submitted the file(s) please post on the Top Threats community with details of the submission ID you receive and one of our team will respond.
