what is AMCore content package, DAT, MEDDAT, Engine, linux engine, Mac engine

Jump to solution

Hello, I am a little confused, what is the difference in AMCore content package and DAT? are they both for Windows systems? is AMCore update also needed on mac and linux systems

I think the MEDDAT is the new dat file for MacOS right? Is it also for Linux, or is there a different one for linux?

I assume Engine is for Window, how often is that updated?

Sorry for the dumb questions, the McAfee documentation is not clear.
