update offline in command line

Jump to solution

Hi,

I want to make an offline update in commandline.

More specifically, i want to :

  • Set the path which contains the signatures files as update sources.
  • Update Endpoint from the signatures located in a local path

Is there a documentation about that?

Cordially,

Vincent

Hi VinceFR4929

Thanks for getting back to us again.

Here is the command line options available for ENS for updates.

https://docs.mcafee.com/bundle/endpoint-security-10.7.x-common-product-guide-windows/page/GUID-88369...

amcfg.exe /update is used to run an update.

You can explore more options in the guide.

Hi VinceFR4929

Thanks for posting in community.

If it might help for now, by using the daily DAT/AMCORE Content executable (link below).  This is a full update package, but it can achieve what is intended, in that it can update systems that needed offline update.

https://www.mcafee.com/enterprise/en-us/downloads/security-updates.html?region=us

This is the security updates page.  It might prompt you to select agree/disagree when accessing.  Look for the V3_<dat number>dat.exe package.  This is a portable exe package that will perform a full DAT update, and the package is uploaded daily with the new DAT / AMCORE.

You can also refer to the Product Guide below.

Thank for your answer.

The fact is I do not use the exe file. For my purpose, I have to use the zip file with all signatures.

I already see I can change the source update on the Client Security Endpoint but I want to do it in command line to automate these operations .

Is it possible?
