My organization is using McAfee, and I can't connect to my organizations VPN without McAfee being up to date. When I try to update it, I get the message below:

"Unable to find a valid repository.

Update Process failed."

I'm assuming the repository is somewhere in my organization, and that I would need to be in their network in order to find it. I then took to google to see if I could download the update on my own and found the below link:

I then see a V2 and V3 (I'm running windows). Would downloading one of those allow me to update the program? If so,which one?

Hi @ConnorS 

Thank you for reaching out to community.

If you see this specific error "Unable to find Valid Repository", this may be because of the causes available in the KB below. This mostly happens if there is Agent Handlers.

For time being, you can download V3 DAT if you are using ENS and V2 DAT if you are using VSE from the URL below and install them locally.

I tried updating using , and after running the DAT file, nothing happened. Do you have any further advice?

Update to my previous response, 

I tried to update again using the newest dat.exe for V3 in the link. It opens up a console really quick, and then it closes before I can read it.

When I open up the McAfee Agent Monitor, I am still getting the error message:  

"Agent failed to communicate with ePO server, Failed to upload package to ePO Server"

Would an update like this even fix that connection, or is this something that I would need to update while connected to my companies network? Thanks!
