I updated my McAfee client to 5.6.6 today and updated the policies and groups. After rebooting my machine I went to run a scan and received an error: "Cannot communicate with device". I have checked in the console that it is connected. I have used the option wake up agents to forcefully push the policies as well, yet no change. I also observed that after I connected to VPN the IP shown in the console did not update. I have some screenshots to help explain the situation better.
