System crash (blue screen) error with Bug Check 19 "BAD_POOL_HEADER" McAfee ENS 10.6.1 May Update

Hello Guys!

We have an interesting and tricky issue.

we updated the Windows 7 Desktops to McAfee ENS 10.6.1 May Update and facing with issues in some circumstences.
Sometimes if somebody edit a file and save it to a network folder (with letter!) with save as function the system crash with blue screen error (Bugcheck 19 BAD_POOL_HEADER).

This error is occured using network folder only.

Which is good, becasue we found a known non-critical issue regarding this kind of error:

The KB article provide solution and workaround (disable exploit prevention and/or upgrade to 10.6.1 july update.

The problem is that the issue is occured after we disable Exploit Prevention and/or upgrade the ENS.

Any idea?

If you are seeing a different scenario to this, I strongly suggest collecting a Full Memory Dump and a MER and creating a service request with support.

Was my reply helpful?
